Privacy policy
Effective 20 September 2026.
Data Astra accesses
With the owner's consent, Astra reads recent Gmail Inbox messages and files the owner explicitly selects in Google Drive. It also receives basic Google account identity information needed to confirm that it is connected to the intended account.
How the data is used
Astra uses this information only to produce private summaries, source-backed suggestions, reminders and answers for the owner. Google data is not used for advertising, sold, or shared with data brokers. It is not used to train a public or shared AI model.
Storage and protection
Credentials are stored using operating-system protected storage. Retrieved content and derived private-assistant records are kept in the owner's encrypted private environment. Access is limited to the owner and the services needed to operate Astra.
Retention and deletion
Records are retained only while they remain useful to the owner. The owner can revoke Astra in Google Account permissions and can request deletion of Astra's stored Google-derived data at any time. Revocation stops future Google access.
Limited use
Astra's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
